Artist's Comments
I got m'sself a digital camera for Christmas, and so here's the first of my experimental photos.....I've never taken a photography class or attempted any sort of artistic photography before, so bear with me, eh?
The subject is Mister Kai Kadoich --> , at his home, playing Scientist by Coldplay on the piano. The lighting was kinda neato, so I snapped a few shots, and then edited the best of them in photoshop. Critiques are greatly welcomed, I'm new at this.
just saw this picture on the front page and HAD to look. the lighting is absolutely gorgeous and sets a good mood for what he's playing. i don't know much about photography myself, but i just love the way this looks
This is very nice, I really like what you've done with it. The border is nice too. If anything, I think those blue streaks are kinda distracting. Were they reflections?
Yes i agree with the comment above, the lighting effect on this one is nice... i also love the contrast of the room in this picture... i also notices the neon blue light on the piano... which i though was a nice touch...^_^
They are reflections, from the computer screen that you could see in the original picture, before I darkened the hell out of it. Hehe, I though they were kinda cool, so I left them, but I do see what you mean about distracting....they seem to be coming from no where now that the computer screen is gone....
chelsea, you have to teach me some things on photoshop..
did you make this border too??
i look fat though.. lol why don't you photoshop that out too? hehe
which photoshop functions did you use for this?? i want to try them!!
oh, and in this picture i'm playing Metamorphosis I by Philip Glass.. i know b/c of the the crossed hands.. oh well.
love, Kai
