OOH me, does it feel nice to paint with oils again. I wanted to paint something for a friend of mine for Christmas, but I was traveling for the better part of the hoildays so I didn't get a chance. And I couldn't think of what to paint.... He has some sort of uncanny obsession with cats, so after much internal debate I figured a cat was a good subject. Sleek, sexy, elegant, and I could chose just about any color scheme I desired.

I'm pretty proud of this mostly because I went to Borders with my sketchbook, looked at a few photographs and sketched out a rough study or two, and then went back home and painted this from memory. From MEMORY! Go me.

I have loads of artistic stuff in the process of being completed, so stay tuned for the next exciting instalment of 'el art del Chelsea'.
