Octopus Week 2011 by chibighibli Octopus Week 2011 by chibighibli
A very fun project, through my internship at Modern Dog Design Co. Working for the Aquarium is a dream come true :) The lettering was very fun to do, too-- I used sumi ink for the first time!

Wonderful poster. The colors are so vibrant and the unusual layout works perfectly here. Great job.

Oh my god. I want this one too. It's so cheerful and FUN! Great work with the text, I love how the curved lines echo the swash of an octopus' tentacles.

I bought this on a shirt about a week ago, when I took my father to the aquarium while he was in Seattle on vacation! Love the design- hence why I'd like to be seen in it. XD It's actually really cool knowing the source of the art I'm wearing...

LOVE IT! Especially all the "inky" aesthetics, between the ink clouds and the title fonts-- it gives the feel and texture while maintaining that crisp vector look. Lovely!
